Are you ready for the most wanted game for 2010? You and over fifteen million other registered players are as well!

 

We at Evony are getting ready and preparing for the arrival of the highly anticipated Evony: Age II release. That's right, it's coming very soon! And because of this upcoming release, we're creating the Super Servers here on the classic Evony: Age I.

 

If you're in servers s28-s29, s27-s32-s33, s24-s25-s26, s30-s31-s34-s35-s36 you're going to be merging together on brand new servers named SS2, SS3, SS4, SS5, with even higher capacity, space and hardware to accept even more players. It truly will be a battleground that doesn't have equal, where you'll be able to make even more friends and enjoy fantastic new battles and enemies to conquer.

 

What do you need to do? Nothing! We'll handle everything.

 

Important things to note though are:

 

All alliance will be kept except those all the members’ characters were deleted during merging.

 

If alliance names of different server happen to be the same, system will add to the end the server name that they belong to. For example, ROMAN_s28, ROMAN_s29. And the alliances chiefs will get a Ritual of Pact.

 

At first, your cities will be all over the server. Again, nothing to worry about. We'll give you a pioneer express teleporter for each city free to let you pick where you want to place them. But they will disappear after 7 days.

 

You won't be able to log in and gain food, etc while the servers are being merged. Don't worry! All cities will have 0 upkeep during this time.

 

So to recap, you'll be getting pioneer express teleporters, ritual of pacts and a zero troop upkeep all for FREE!

 

These new Super Servers are truly top of the range with huge improvements over the Warlord merges. Don't forget, if you have multiple accounts in s28-s29 (SS2), in s27-s32-s33 (SS3), in s24-s25-s26 (SS4) or in s30-s31-s34-s35-s36 (SS5). You'll need to pick which account is being transferred over!

Calling All Writers and Publishers!

 

The exponential growth of Evony has been amazing to witness in such a short period of time, and we really believe we have the best community of gamers on the web. Since Evony went from beta to live in May 2009, millions of players just like you have joined the vast group of Evony players and discovered what makes Evony the fantastic success it has become.

 

Now, we’d like to hear your thoughts on the game and content, as well as the latest events and prizes.

 

Have you written a good review of Evony: Age I? Are you planning to publish a great article on the game? If you have published within the last 14 days or are planning on publishing articles or reviews on Evony: Age I at some point in the future – including specific articles on items or game play strategies – then read on!

 

Any player who writes a review or article, with a minimum of 400 words, (in your own words) and has it published will have the opportunity to receive a special bonus of 500 cents FREE! Articles will be reviewed by Evony staff and the writers of the best articles will receive the bonus!

 

What qualifies for the reward? Blogs, public reviews, article publishing websites, online game reviews, etc. Forum posts do not qualify.

 

How to qualify:

 

1. Your account must have been created before the article was published.

2. You must be able to prove you wrote the article (put your lord name and server in the article, publish from the same email as your Evony account, send us the article before it is published, etc.)

3. Send the URL of the successful publication along with your lord name, server and login email to pr@evony.com. We'll review your article, and if it’s excellent, we’ll be sending you a special “thank you” bonus of 500 cents for FREE in game!

The Queen of Evony contest is over and the winners have been chosen by you!

Dear Players,

We have been excited at the success of iEvony, but we have also come across an unintended side effect of the iEvony system. Some players have abusively and unethically engaged in spamming practices on a variety of websites with the intent of boosting their credits. This practice affects site traffic and makes headaches and extra work for moderators on a variety of websites. It reflects poorly not only on these users, but also on Evony as a whole.

 

For this reason, we will absolutely not tolerate such spamming practices. Players who engage in spam practices (posting multiple threads from multiple accounts on the same site, attempting to get forum users to follow a link) will be aggressively pursued and sanctioned. Penalties may include: being stripped of ALL earned Credits and any Coins or items they were exchanged for; having your iEvony account permanently disabled; being temporarily or permanently banned from Evony.

 

We encourage owners and moderators of sites that receive such spam to contact us to report it. Please provide proof of the spam (screenshots or search links) and we will take appropriate action to see that your site is not disturbed by our players.

 

Our goal with the iEvony program is for our players to be rewarded for being our goodwill ambassadors on the sites which they normally frequent and for the most part that is exactly what is happening. We do not agree with the negative actions taken by a few and intend to see to it that this does not happen going forward.

Queen Election Changes

In response to feedback from our players, we have changed some of the rules for the Queen of Evony voting to make the election more fair and free from bias. We are changing the following rules:

* Everyone who votes receives an award. No special reward will be given for people who voted for the winning candidate. We are doing this to avoid the “bandwagon” effect. We want players feel free to choose the candidate they like the best, not the candidate they think is most likely to win.

* Votes are no longer visible while the election is in progress. We will keep a tally but it will be hidden until voting is complete. Once again, this is to avoid the band wagoning.

* Because we believe the original election was unfair (due to the above reasons), we are going to reset the vote count. Everyone who voted previously may vote again in this fresh poll.

We believe these changes will lead to a more fair election in which all the candidates have an equal chance. Thank you for your feedback and we appreciate your patronage.
